Psychology Today

I recognize that seeing a therapist initially can be intimidating and I strive to create an accepting, open environment for you to grow. Often, that can mean being creative in how we use our therapy time. I will also work closely with other providers you may have to ensure proper functioning for all aspects of your life. With over 20 years in the Psychology profession, I take a caring yet directive approach to create a collaborative therapeutic environment aimed at supporting your goals. Together we will work to make you the best version of yourself. My practice includes working with adults in an individual setting. My areas of expertise and research interests include anxiety reduction, mindfulness and whole person wellness. I am originally from Louisiana but found my way to Boise via San Diego. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!), my Masters of Psychology from the University of West Florida, and my Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. I have worked in outpatient settings, inpatient settings, eating disorder clinics, and residential treatment facilities. In addition to the clinical aspect of Psychology, I also enjoy the teaching aspects. I have held faculty positions at a teaching hospital in the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychiatry as well as many adjunct positions, the latest including Boise State Departments of Psychology and Counselor Education.
