Nicole Jund

Counseling Intern

My main goal as a counselor intern is to create a warm and safe environment by fostering empathic, trusting relationships with each individual client that allows them to feel supported and cared for on their journey toward healing. I am honored to work with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages, and I have specific experience supporting children, adolescents, and young adults in various settings. My areas of interest include working with individuals suffering from anxiety, trauma, and depression. As a counselor intern, my counseling style is centered around attunement and genuine empathy with clients. I enjoy implementing a psychodynamic, person-centered approach in counseling with evidence-based strategies that are tailored to your individual needs.

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Science in Psychology from Boise State University in 2022. During my time there, I was an undergraduate intern for an eating disorder therapist, where I acted as a client coach, observed sessions, and co-facilitated group therapy sessions. I also served as a Psychology research assistant, teaching assistant, and was a member of Psi Chi, the international Honors Society for Psychology students. After graduation, I worked as a full-time behavior therapist with kids on the autism spectrum, where I implemented naturalistic behavior therapy and collaborated closely with their parents on treatment goals. I am currently a Master’s Student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Concordia University Irvine at the Townsend Institute, working toward Idaho licensure under the supervision of Crista Murray, PsyD, LCPC, CS.
